60 min Ante Natal Pilates Assessment

  • ​Individualised Physiotherapy assessment to identify any injuries, postural concerns or areas of weakness in your back, hips, pelvis or abdominals that may become problematic throughout your pregnancy so you can get on top of these early
  • ​Assessment of any women's health specific issues with your pelvic joints, pelvic floor or abdominals so that you can work on these throughout the ante natal series  
  • ​​Identify and discuss your goals & expectations for your pregnancy and the ante natal series so you can track your progress over the trimesters
  • ​Identify any exercise modifications that may be required if certain positions or joints are problematic for you during your pregnancy or tailor exercises specifically for you as required so that you can exercise with confidence with your baby and without fear of pain

60 min Post Natal WOF Pilates Assessment

  • ​​Individualised Physiotherapy assessment to identify any birth related injuries, trauma or areas of weakness postpartum in your abdominal wall, back, pelvis, rib cage or pelvic floor including management of scar tissue following vaginal birth or caesarean section and re education of your breathing and posture postpartum
  • ​Assessment & Coaching in correct activation of your pelvic floor and abdominal muscles for the exercises in the post natal series to ensure correct performance and so that you can build your strength across the 10 week series, starting with Level 1 exercises and progressing as your strength returns
  • ​Identify and discuss your goals & expectations postpartum so you can achieve the things you need to be able to do at home or work and track your progress across the series
  • ​Identify any exercise modifications that may be required if certain positions or joints are problematic for you following your birth or pregnancy so that you can exercise with confidence and without fear of pain

30 min Follow up Assessment

  • Re-evaluate your goals  for the series so you can recognize your progress over the 10 weeks
  • Physiotherapy re-assessment of any areas of concern you had at the start or ongoing areas of weakness or tightness so that you can track your progress and continue to work on these as needed throughout the remainder of the series  
  • Check any exercise modifications made or review your exercise technique for any of the exercises in the series so you can be confident that you're getting the most out of your workouts

 Hi, I'm Hollie, Physiotherapist of 20+ years experience and a Pilates Instructor for HTPilatesPlus, having trained with both DMA (Dance Medicine Australia) clinical Pilates as well as APPI (Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute) including matwork, reformer, small equipment, neurological and pre and post natal classes.  
I am also a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist credentialed by Dr Melissa Davidson (Specialist Physiotherapist in Pelvic Health NZ) and a member of the Women's and Men's Pelvic Health Special Interest group through Physiotherapy New Zealand.
