Founded by Hollie Turner, a Physiotherapist with 20+ years experience working in multiple rehabilitation settings both nationally and internationally, HTPilatesPlus was established in 2013 on her return to NZ where she has been instructing Pilates classes and coaching privately for the past 10 years.
HTPilatesPlus aims to help all women (and some men) to grow in strength and confidence in their own bodies, through Pilates, so they can be equipped for busy lives to do the things they NEED and LOVE to do! Hollie's Pilates "Plus" incorporates her extensive Physiotherapy knowledge and experience in injury rehabilitation and falls prevention into her Pilates to give a comprehensive all over body workout so that this is not just "Pilates", but "Pilates for Life"!
Our focus is on strengthening the muscles of the core and pelvic floor and to help people who are suffering from low back pain, recurrent injuries or other stability related concerns, including pregnancy and postpartum. Having continued Pilates throughout her pregnancy and beyond Hollie has filmed her Trimester II & III Pilates Series' with first hand knowledge.
In 2019 HTPilatesPlus expanded to include online classes and with the desire to reach more people in their own homes with the assurance of Physiotherapist led classes that could be accessed with greater flexibility anywhere and anytime.
We understand that time is precious, and life, work and family are a balancing act that at times need to be juggled, but we also understand the importance of taking the time out of your day to reconnect with your body, to strengthen and tone, breathe deeply and have the endurance that you need for busy lives.
So if you struggle to get to a class, live remotely or just need flexible hours in this season of your life... these online classes are for you!
HTPilatesPlus classes are physiotherapist prescribed exercises designed to strengthen the core muscles of the abdominals, back and important pelvic floor region. Classes provide postural correction through strengthening the muscles of the neck, upper back and shoulders, focus on correct alignment of the hips, knees and ankles through strengthening the stabilising muscles of the glutes, inner and outer thighs and provide whole body strengthening and toning. All classes are low impact and include elements of flexibility, co-ordination and balance to halt the otherwise inevitable age related decline and are designed so that you can rebuild strength and stability in any areas of weakness, to remain injury free, both now and for the future.
